If you have a spare mSATA drive lying around from an old laptop, or one you’ve recently updated – what should you do with the spare drive? Luckily for us all there is an answer these days! Using the mSATA case from Kingwin you can turn that old drive into a pocket-sized external drive.
Kingwin was founded in 1992, and they provide components mainly for external/internal drives, as well as power supplies and cooling solutions. Also available are fan grills, fan controllers, card readers, cold cathode kits, adapters, converters, and brackets.
The enclosure is 2.875 inches in length, 1.600 inches in width, and 0.500 inches high, and weighs 0.11 lbs. It is supported by most recent versions of Windows, OSX, and many Linux distributions.
